Finally I am up for writing open fire IM server step by step installation.
Open fire is a jabber based IM server. This server needs a database server in backend for storing user information and in front end open fire is already there. For database it could be embedded database and external database as well.
In embedded database it could be LDAP or active directory and in external database wide range of data base is there starting from MS SQL, My SQL, Oracle and other popular database.
About tutorial from me I am going to explain installation only on Windows server with Active Directory, MS SQl and My SQL in three chapters. Once I am done with all 3 chapters of installation I will go ahead with rest of the details in it.
